I am a Survivor

“People have to take the right medicine and also remain positive throughout the treatment process to survive. Even God would have turned angry, if I had remained at home and refused the right kind of treatment”

About Us

Cochin Cancer Society (C.C.S) is a charitable society registered under the Travancore-Cochin Library, Scientific and Charitable Societies registration Act, incorporated in the year 2004 when a few like-minded people joined hands to help poor patients. The main architects of the society are Dr. V.P.Gangandharan and late Dr. Cherian Jacob.

“Myths and stigma arise from ignorance about cancer which is surprisingly increasing even among the educated population. Cancer incidences are rising due to the shifting life style, food habits, use of alcohol and tobacco, environmental pollution and many more.

Hence the most important and critical necessity is cancer awareness and early detection. Knowledge is the light that will help you fight the darkness about cancer. There is no need to fear about cancer as 30-35% of cancers are completely curable if detected early.

We at Cochin cancer society fight against cancer by improving public awareness and encouraging proactive early detection measures”
